Assessment is an integrative process: one of design, implementation, and evaluation of success facilitated by reflection, and practical integration of what has been learned into the next iteration of a course or program. At Bok we view assessment as an integral piece of instruction, curriculum building and university strategic planning. Anchored within a Center for Teaching and Learning our work is deeply connected to the practice of teaching and scholarship and we are committed to 1) Collaborating across disciplines, 2) Bringing Research to Practice, and 4) Building Knowledge Networks.

Nowhere is Harvard’s impact experienced more directly than the education of its students who will be future leaders in the world. We want to ensure that Harvard maintains this excellence. Over the past few years we have heard from a number of students, faculty and administration on a number of key issues. Below we outline severalof our important projects that have helped the University gain insight about the experiences it offers to its students. Some of this work has resulted in important changes to the curriculum, to the houses- the heart of the undergraduate experience-, and to the various programming that supports our students.
